Well... where do we begin? The weather has been spot on for the amount of TLC we have been able to put into our farm, our little Max and our fishing! The farm hasn't been the same because... we have missed everyone!
We've been active on the farm over this period, utilising the time to make some exciting things happen. The mindset we chose going into this was to make the most of the service break and action a couple of plans we always chatted about over after work wines. Â
The kitchen got a much needed makeover, we stained wood and polished concrete. Everyone had their hands in the gardens and harvesting macadamia nuts. Â One job was to update our website which has timed really well with our restaurant reopening on Friday the 29th of May. The new website includes a new booking system that will streamline our current experiences ... and introduce a few new ones!Â
To meet the restrictions for the current situation we are only able to seat 20 people in our restaurant at one time. Bookings are essential and will only be taken at two seating times 11:30 and 2:00. As you can imagine keeping our business going we will be strict with this and appreciate the cooperation. Group numbers are limited to a maximum of 10 and you will have 2 hours allocated for lunch.
Food and wine wise we will be offering a Farm Feast, this is a $65 three-course meal that can be adjusted to dietary requirements. This includes a complimentary tasting of four wines chosen to pair with the food courses. Joaquin and Scotty have made plans to include local and sustainable seafood to team up alongside our farm produce. Dining will take place inside unless a prior conversation with us has been had.
Â
To ensure everyone has the ultimate dining experience and we can sustain our business under the current restrictions. We have had to make the tough decision not to cater for children. If your youngsters are keen for the full feast they are more than welcome to join at the same price per head. However if this option does not suit your kid or they are too young to eat with us, unfortunately we cannot welcome them to the farm as this adds to our dining capacity. We thank you for understanding and can’t wait to welcome the whole family back (including the fur babies) soon.
Bookings are only to be made via this booking link as our cellar door phone isn't manned daily at the moment.
Thank you to those of you who have made the effort to visit us via our drive through! It has been a load of fun! To ensure we nail our new Farm Feast offering we will not have one this coming Sunday.
We hope to see you soon...
Ben, Sash + the Glenarty family xx
